Health insurance is required of all students. The insurance fee is AED 300 per semester or AED 1,500 per year, depending on the type of plan applicable to each student.

Students admitted to the School of Business Administration are required in their first semester to purchase a designated laptop during orientation week.
Students admitted to the College of Architecture, Art and Design are required at the outset of their third year to purchase a designated laptop.
Students admitted to the College of Engineering are required in their first semester to purchase a designated laptop during orientation week.
We are evaluating additional student laptop programs and support. Prospective students in any program should not purchase a laptop for use at AUS without checking first with their major school or program.
RESIDENTIAL HALLS FEES
We have separate campus residential halls for men and women. Residence on campus is optional and only available for full-time undergraduate students who have paid or arranged for the payment of their room, tuition and other university fees. Other student categories may be considered depending on the availability of rooms. We have accommodation ranging from private rooms to double rooms available on campus.

- All new applicants are expected to submit a non-refundable Room Reservation Fee of AED 500 along with their Housing Application.
- A refundable Room Maintenance Deposit of AED 1,000 is also required prior to checking in to the dorm. This is refunded at the time of final cancellation from the AUS dormitories.

The above fees and charges are exclusive of UAE Value Added Tax (VAT). VAT will NOT be applied on tuition fees or dorm charges or Health Insurance (Plan II). However, it will be applied on the Activities Fee, Health Insurance (Plan I) and Dorm Utilities Service Fee at the rate of 5% in accordance with the Federal Decree Law No (8) of 2017 on Value Added Tax and its Executive Regulations issued under Cabinet Decision No. (52) of 2017. VAT charges, where applicable, shall be added to the statement of fees. Other fines and charges may also be subject to VAT at 5% in accordance with the UAE VAT Law.
